Grav is a relatively new open source flat-file content management system (CMS). Flat-file means that the Grav CMS does not require a database to run. In short, Grav requires almost no installation. Just extract the ZIP archive, and you are up and running.
Since Grav is a file-based CMS, all contents and configuration options are stored in files.
Grav is intentionally designed with very few requirements. You can easily run Grav on your local computer, and 99% of all web hosting providers should be able to host it. All you need is a machine that can run PHP 5.5.9 or higher. That’s it! No database needed!
